Oh, Excellent, I was dreading having to pull the whole thing apart to re solder a new terminal base to it all, mabey i will one bored sunday afternoon anyways, but good to know should be ok for now :) About the display, It doesnt STAY faint, which makes me think its NOT the tube itself, becuase every now and then it will go to full brightness, and look flawless, then fade away quik, come back, fade. no pattern, no timing order, and Ive watched closly - doesnt seem to be related to music output , IE high volume, fading more, could this i guess be the controller? and im assuming that these displays are near-impossible to fix becuase fo the degree of electronicification needed to make it work in the FIRST place :)

: I believe the negative terminals are all on
: a common ground, so you should be ok.
: As for the display, You didn't state what
: type of trouble you were having with it
: but it usually comes down to two things.
: Ether the display tube itself is bad or the
: circuit board that drives it has a fault.
