suggestions for best speakers for Sansui

Hello all, I currently run a G-8700 and a pair of Acoustic Research AR-48s. I do love this setup,it is loud ultra-clean and very detailed,with good soundstage and imaging. The only thing it is lacking is it is not very smooth,or warm sounding. It is very revealing,(which I do like)and for extened listining,somwhat on the harsh side (especially with a CD). I whould appreiate any speaker suggestions.
I am considering getting a G-801. I have heard this would be just as clean and detailed but also would have the warm sound I crave. If I get the G-801 I would like to use a set of AR-9's. Would this be setup be what I want?
