Hi Brent
The Wired-in Fuse on Driver Board is a modification against overload. Itīs a Bulletin available concerning this (model 8080/9090 not db) at http://www.obsinc.us/Dep_VOVS_Literatures.htm

: I have a Sansui 9090db that starts up--passes the protection circuit--but has no sound. The power needles dont move when I tune in to a station or run sound through the preamp section. For differant reasons I have blown a bunch of fuses lately. When I open it up there are 5 fuses inside that are easy to get to and one at the back.I notice also there are some fuses in clear plastic tubes that are attached to circuit boards. I dont know how to get at these fuses without pulling one end of the tube off of the circuit board. Why did they make fuses you cant get at?Also I have lost the little clips that connect the amp/preamp connection on the back. I am useing short rca cables. Will this work. Thanks
