Sansui has always made excellent tuners. The TU-S77X is a mid 1980's model, the Sansui amplifier that it was matched to was the AU-D11 II. (though of course you can connect a tuner to any amplifier that you want).
Some TU-S77X's have the wood side panels which makes the tuner look very attractive.
