If its FM reception that you are mainly interested in, why not acquire a dedicated Sansui tuner instead of a receiver? Sansui has an excellent reputation for having made very good tuners. Have a look on Ebay and see which ones appeal to you. Keep in mind, quite a few vintage Sansui tuners do attract a good number of bidders, so the price might get a bit high. But if you can get, say, a TU-717 for $200, it would be an excellent buy, the TU-717 is truly a superb tuner. You might be able to find some good bargains with the smaller models in that line, TU-317, 217.
