: Hi there, Army:
: Well, thats certainly a HUGE step up to go from the G-3000 to the G-22000. If your wife thought the G-3000 was big back then, I wonder how she feels about the G-22K! :) Well perhaps 'wife-y' has mellowed with time in these 20 + years ? :)
: I appreciate your support regarding my response to Sven. Its not like I dont have a heart, I am sure he "loves" the Sansui as he says he does, but....., well, I think I already explained my viewpoint in my reply to him so I dont think there's really anything further to add to that.

Hi B/F
Yeah she's mellowed over the years. She's learned to judge when something means a great deal to me. That and we're living in a much bigger house, Which hasn't been too hard on her...
I started following this site about 9 months ago I ran accrossed the G22K. I remembered how sweet my little G3000 was so I knew I just had to get my hands on the BIG sister. I'd been watching epay and they were way over what I could afford. Make a long story short. The one I did get wasn't working. But the overall condition was near mint. I could afford to wait and save for the repairs. Which so far the only thing that was found to be bad was a couple of resistors. And a bad connection - wiring from the tuner to the amp section. The thing I'm waiting on is a pesky protection circuit goes on after about a minute. The service repairman thought with the service manual he should figure this out quickly - I hope!
I did a good job of preparing my wife about the size of the G22k and once she saw it and how attractive it was she's ok with it. That and I now have to get her a new entertainment center. Hard to find one that'll take 100 lb.s May have to find and then modify one to handle the weight.
Just thought I'd drop you a line yesterday and let you know that some of us really appreciate the time and effort you guys put in. I thought there'd be more people jumping on this band wagon. Guess they're just shy ....
Keep the Faith
