Hi -- I have been searching the web for this info, and am hoping maybe finally I have found the right place to ask! I bought a Sansui AU-719 on EBay, and it arrived and it looks in great shape! It was bought from someone in the US, and I intend to use it in the US. However, I am not sure what voltage this unit operates on! The Sansui metal label on the back lists Voltage as 110/120/220/240V, but there is a round sticker near the cord which says 220V. To make things more confusing, the plus is a US-style plug. I emailed the seller twice asking him to clarify what voltage this unit works on, but got no reply.
I am not sure what to do now. I do have a 220-110V heavy duty transformer that I can use, but unless I am positive it is a 220V unit, I do not want to risk plugging it in. Reverse (plugging into a 110V wall outlet) has the same risk. The Sansui label is confusing in listing all the voltages. Do you have any idea whether in fact the AU-719 was made with "universal" voltage capabilities?
Thanks so much in advance for your help,
Sanjiv.
