I meant to respond earlier to your post. Whats the latest news with the B-3000? I think you meant to say that it was built in the late 80's (not 90's), in comparison to the 70's BA-3000.

Even though the B-3000 is 120 Watts, its not really the most ruggedly built amp that Sansui made, as say, the BA-3000. Its probably best to use the amp with one pair of efficient 8 ohm speakers, rather than 4 ohm speakers. I was curious to know, did your B-3000 run very hot when it was connected to your speakers, before the amp blew?
