Hi Neal
Ya I think they would be worth a refoaming. There are several web sites that sell kits here'a one http://www.newfoam.com/ My first and only refoam job came out very nice. I used a kit from www.decware.com on a pair of Marantz HD-66 the kit was $25 US and came with everything I needed. The hard part was getting the old glue off. I've been told you can use ISO Heet found at most auto parts stores to remove the old glue. It's Isopropal alcohol safe, cheap and easy. This tip came from someone who does refoam jobs all the time. For more info check out www.Audiokarma.org Speaker forum or do a search on refoaming. Free site with Great people and tons of good info. Including a forum called Exclusively Sansui you might enjoy!
Regards
Army

: Neighbor gave me a set of Boston Acoustics A70 nice speakers with bad 9 inch main cones to go with my sansui system. How hard is it for a newbie to recone these speakers ? Are they worth the cost & effort ? Where does one buy a quality repair kit ?
: Thanks !
