In Reply to: How much is a Sansui 1000A in original perfect condition worth? posted by Dan Burres on September 19, 2004 at 17:19:43:
Dan,
I would sure hope that my Original 1000A that I bought brand new in 1966 at Tachikawa AB, Japan (SN 16062089) and I still have and enjoy today will fetch MUCH more than that. . . . .I have been tracking them on ebaY for several years and they seem to fetch much more than $75-$150. I also have a very nic eunit that I bought in 1995 and restored to "as new" specifications (SN 16071939) - I have all of the original literature for my original purchase. I am still running a pair of the original Toshiba 7591 tubes. . . .yes, there were original 7591 tubes. They test out at 550 and 600 on my Hickok 752A Gm tester.
They should bring appreciably more than you might think. See my photos and data on Isao Asakura's member's stuff site.
I have nothing but praise for the 1000A for the past 38 years!!!
Respectfully,

: My dad recently got a new stereo system and he gave me his SANSUI 1000A that he has owned since the late 1960's. This looks and sounds perfect. He even gave me the original Operating Instructions and Service Manual. I was thinking about selling it and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is worth?
: Thanks,
