I checked the terminals for DCV. there is not current between + and _ for left or right channel, however, testing between the - of the left to the - of the right I get 9.2 DCV. This is the case on both a and b speaker connections. Any idea if this is a problem?
Thanks for any help,
Scott
: Hi Scott
: Check for faulty Driver and Power Transistors as well as Bias Current and DC at output,
: To simplify all work you can get a Service Manual if you click on Obs Inc at the top of this page or the link below.
: : I have an old Sansui AU-G77X Amp that I was going to try to repair. When powered on the protector light continues to flash and never goes green. I have checked the fuse, and for obvious stuff on the boards like loose solder joints, bad connections loose grounds etc. I have not been able to locate anything. All the CAPs appear to be ok to me, no leakage or discoloration. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can check next. Have a DMM but no schematic so not quite sure at what ponits I should be checking for a short.
: : Thanks,
