There is a switch in the back... in the middle that refers to pre amp. I don't profess to be an audio wizard. I just know input and output and to set the switches to whatever I want to hear.
I can hear sound on the headphones but nothing is coming out of the speakers (a pair of vintage JBL 4311B), so I don't know if it is broken or what. I really love the AU-7900 and will sale this unit. But I want to be able to describe it right and kinda know what to ask for it. I don't want to say it is working and it isn't... and vica versa. Also, it two screws are missing on the each side but otherwise I don't see any other problems than the main one I mentioned. I'll tinker with it some more tonight.
