Hi,

I am trying to find out information on these speakers. I just picked up a pair of them and unfortunately I discovered after I bought them that two of T-102 tweeters are bad- one does not work at all and the other distorts at higher volumes.

The cabinets are unlike most other vintage Sansui speakers I have seen. Very large, wide, floor standing. The only thing I found on them was a Japanese site that indicates they were manufactured in 1968, which I find unlikely because the pair I have look like they are only a few years old.

Each has a 12" W-102 woofer, an S-103 squawker (midrange), two S-102 squawkers, and two T-102 tweeters.

I have tried to find replacement tweeters but can find absoulutely no information on them. At this point I am debating whether to part them out on everybodys favorite auction site or hold onto them and hope to find replacements some day. The cabinets are so big I don't want to pack and ship them, but I would hate to have to throw them away.

Can you tell me anything about these speakers, the availabily of replacement drivers, or any other information at all? I checked this website but there is nothing on the SP-3005.

Thanks, Ed
