: I found this site about an hour ago while trying to put a value on my system for insurance purposes, and thought you might get a kick out of this. I bought my system in May of 1980 in Sacramento, Ca. It consisted of Sansui TU717, AU719, SE7, SC1330, Dual 1264 turntable, Cannon 1232T speakers, and a Sullivan rack. The total price was $2064.88. It was the first and only stereo system I have ever bought. I no longer have the turntable, and the speakers died a few years ago (a friend of mine found a pair of Pioneer HPM100's at a garage sale for me for $75.) The components are still in the rack where I put them 23 years ago, although scratchy controls tell me it's time to have them serviced. They still works flawlessly, and I love showing my teenage kids that this old antique stuff can rattle the pictures on the walls just as well as the new ones. I am in need of 2 knobs for the sliders for the SE7, thanks to little kids and my wife's vacuum cleaner, if anyone can help. By the way, I still have all the Sansui manuals and schematics for the units, as well as the original receipt. Thought you might enjoy this, and I love the site.
I have the tu717 the 717au cassette deck tuner sounds craftsman equalizer, no speakers, in the original sansui rack. could you give me a price of what it might be worth today. want to sell to a good home. there's no static,, no scratches, 1 lost nob out of 25 on the eq.
hope you can help
thanks
