I didnt think the G-9000 was discontinued by the time the G-7500 came out - do you recall when (Year and Month) you were at the store and they told you that? (And/or: if you can provide your G-7500' serial #, I can give you its manufacturing date) Most likely we are talking 1979 here. And that was a good year!
