Hi Russ:

The serial # on yours indicates a January 1979 model. By the way, I have 3 G models in my Sansui collection, a G-5500, G-7700, and a G-9000. I can relate to how much you like the G-7500, because the G-5500 I have is very nice. The only thing it lacks is the nice power meters (which your G-7500 has). If there is any drawback to the big G-9000, its all those switches on the front panel - the more switches there are, it means the better the chances of them accumulating filth over time, and causing intermittent channel-cutout problems until they get properly cleaned. I guess you are mostly into Receivers, but Sansui also made excellent integrated amps, and while the G-33K/22K look impressive, I think the Sansui 'Amplifier King' crown belongs to the mighty BA-5000 :)

Regards,

B/F
