Hello! I know very little as far as Sansui, the company , is concerned about the speakers, Where they were viewed in the public EYE, and even by Sansui phreaks. heh. I have seen some brochures of various equipments like the au-20000 being matched up with these speakers, Were they really a good match? Am i not doing them justice using my ta-500 or g-4700 receivers to power them? They sound pretty good, but do lack some high end freq that my other sansuis < which Ive doctored so i shouldnt quote the model #'s anymore. > but basically, they are sf-x7's and I have used the woofer/mid/tweet/crossover from a pair of sp-5000x;s, which are also rare.. but sound great, the sp5000x's were ported, the sf-x7's cabs arent, and are in way nicer shape.. also have a pair of s-45c;s 4 ways.. but i notice, that these later models have crap for crossovers. just little resistors with pots on them to govern VOLUME to that speaker... is this the cheapness? or is this ok? i thought it wasnt, so ive used the actual crossovers from the 5000x;s and they sound unbelievably better.. but i have all the original drivers in my LM-330's and they pound n sing, but i wonder if my high end, and clarity would get better with the amps, or are they just a bla bla line of speakers. hehe, any info would help!
obcessions are bad.
lol.
