It dates back to the mid 70's, 1975-76. List price then was $290. Sansui also made the smaller SP-5500X and SP-2500X.
The October issues of Audio magazine are the Annual Directory issues which used to list all the models made by various audio manufacturers and what their specs are.
I have alot of Sansui hi fi literature and if someone needs a copy of a brochure for a model, I dont mind making a xerox and mailing it out if the recipient can compensate the $ cost for copying/postage.
