Au 707DR is attractive to me, since my AU-X701 cannot drive enough my Dynaudio's 1.3Mk2 and clipps even at medium pressure level (it's a difficult speaker, 86dB/4Ohm and 53 degrees phase shift around 50-200Hz). However, I really love the tonal richness and balance of the amp in combination.
I just hope that DR707 has the same tonality as X701 and more current capability, since on the back side I noted that the power consumption is 1kW (720W on X701)- so I hope that 707DR is more current capable. I have no experience with this amp, but it looks pretty well built and heavy, with XLR inputs, etc.
