: Hi,
: I've just been offered to buy a Sansui AU-D55X amplifier. It's from the first half of the eighties. I haven't find any info on it on the net! I've read at various web sites that Sansui amps from the eighties are mostly plastic crap...
: This one is actually made of metal and it weighs some 8.5 kg. It is 2X70W at 8Ohms. It also has some funky fluorescent peak power meters.
: There is an inscription on it: "super feedforward system" - what is it?
: How does it compare to more modern amplifiers, or to a Mission Cyrus One MkII amplifier, that I can buy from other guy?
: Thanks,
: Aleksandar
Aleksandar:
I bought one of those AUD-55X back in 1984 /1985 time frame. I have been using it since and it is working perfectly still. No problems with the amp and I am still happy with it.
