Dear Dr. Stefano Pasini:
Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm the one who started this site; however, I really appreciate my friends for helping this site to be a better one.
I suggest you to keep eye on on-line auction sites to find some decent AU-7900 to replace the front panel. This hobby is almost like antique car collection; we have to find some decent ones, and take the essential parts out. That is the only way to get what you need.
In some day, I’m planning to do on-line Sansui used/new parts store, but I’m not certain when I can start.
Sincerely,
Isao
: Dear Sirs,
: to begin with, congratulations for your excellent Web site, devoted to one of the forgotten great Marques of classic hi-fi. Obviously you don't know me, but I'm a collector of classic audio equipment, mostly analogic, professional stuff, especially turntables: you can see my collection (well, a part of it) at my site www.stefanopasini.it .
: I take the liberty to write you because I've just bought an old Sansui 7900 amp, a machine I really liked when new but I never owned. I must at this point say that I always had a soft spot for Sansui: for me they always were a kind of Japanese McIntosh.
: The problem is that the front panel is in bad condition: I'd really like to get a new one, or at least a salvaged one in good condition. I know that this may be impossible, but I am asking to the experts hoping to have a stroke of luck.
: Hoping that you might have something like this, or that you would point me to someone who might have one, I send you all my best wishes for a happy 2003,
: dr Stefano Pasini
