G7500 & G9000 receivers

I have a G7500 that I bought as the original owner. The unit is still as nice as the day I brought it home years ago.
But, I'd like to buy a G9000 someday. I've seen these G9000's sell from $250.00 all the way to $700.00. That is a big upset in price range. What do "G" fans consider a fair & just price for this unit?
Other than twice the power of my G7500, would I notice a dramatic inprovement in sound quality...enough to justify the price?
